Update on Our Postponed SeasonUpdatedWednesday April 1, 2020 byKannapolis Dixie Youth.
Kannapolis Dixie Youth Family & Friends,
Thank you for your continued patience during these trying times. We know that there are many children who were excited for what was to be a great season of baseball. We certainly miss seeing everyone at the field and hope to be able to be to resume activities once the Stay-at-Home order is lifted. The health and safety of our players, family members and other members of our community is our top priority and we sincerely hope that the threat of COVID-19 passes quickly so we all can get back to some normalcy.
What we are experiencing with this virus is like nothing we’ve seen before and because of this, it is extremely difficult to give a timeline as to when a baseball season would be a possibility. The safest bet is to continue to abide by the local, state, and national safety measures that are in place and plan for baseball once we are no longer at risk.
We would love to be able to give a date of when we can resume but it’s just not a possibility at this time. All we can do now is practice good hygiene, abide by the given recommendations for safety, and hope that this passes soon. We look forward to seeing everyone in the future and will be posting updates as the situation progresses.
